Special Education & Developmental Learning: Unlocking Boundless Potential
At HCRA, our Special Education (SE) program provides tailored academic, cognitive, and functional development for children and young adults aged 3 to 22. We support learners navigating diverse neurodevelopmental challenges—including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and intellectual or learning delays—facilitating their progression from early pediatric intervention toward foundational academic and daily life competence.
Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Replacing standard teaching models with customized developmental roadmaps that nurture foundational literacy, numeracy, and practical self-regulation.
Dedicated 1:10 Educator-to-Student Ratio: Small class sizes that allow certified special educators to provide targeted behavioral guidance, sensory pacing, and personal encouragement.
Milestone-Based Peer Cohorts: Grouping learners by developmental age and cognitive milestones to foster peer socialization, collaborative play, and emotional security.
Mainstream & Vocational Linkage: Bridging classroom learning directly into vocational life-skills training, equipping students to transition smoothly into mainstream schools or self-reliant adult trades.
